Over the past couple of seasons, the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards have created their own rivalry, figuring in a number of hotly-contested matchups. It has even been extra special this year for twin brothers Marcus and Markieff Morris, as they play for both of the aforementioned teams.

On Wednesday, they had the opportunity to go up against one another again. They even made history on the night, by becoming the first set of brothers to score at least 51 points combined in a single game, since Dominique and Gerald Wilkins reached the feat back in March of 1994, according to NBA History's Twitter account.

The Celtics' Morris led the way for the home team, with 31 points, to go along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Terry Rozier chipped in a 21-5-9 stat line in a losing effort. For the Wizards, Morris finished the night with 20 points, seven rebounds, and four steals to support Bradley Beal's huge game as the latter recorded 34 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and two steals in their double-overtime victory, 125-124.

The Wizards and Celtics will once again meet come April 8, which is expected to be another highly-competitive matchup. It's possible that they will both be in full strength once again, with the matchup between John Wall and Kyrie Irving taking the spotlight.

There's also a chance that they could meet again in the playoffs, depending on the final seedings in the Eastern Conference. Regardless, Morris twins will continue to be heavily relied upon by their respective teams, as they are both playing solid basketball this season.
