Much has been made about the Kyrie Irving and Celtics fan base beef. The entire city of Boston is likely gearing up to boo Irving out of the TD Garden on Wednesday night. The Boston fans have utilized the basic “Kyrie sucks” chants as well as some NSFW chants. But Massachusetts native and celebrity comedian Bill Burr offered the fans an alternative chant that he believes will affect Irving more than anything else.

And, because it’s Bill Burr, it is naturally hilarious. Warning: the video is NSFW.

In the above posted video, Burr calls for Celtics fans to shout, “the world is round.” Irving made comments earlier in his career that he believes the world is flat. Although some speculated he may have been kidding, others believed he was being completely serious.

Burr goes on to say that this chant will take his mind off of basketball because Irving will start thinking of ways to prove how the world is actually flat. He finishes off the video by claiming that Irving will have a big game if you just say that he sucks.

The Celtics fans have already got under his skin. Kyrie Irving was recently issued a massive fine after flipping off fans and using profane language in Brooklyn’s last game against Boston. But Kyrie is also the kind of player who performs better with added motivation. So changing up the chant and adding more versatility for the fans could be beneficial for the Celtics

It will be interesting to see if Bill Burr’s call-to-action is utilized on Wednesday night.
