The Boston Celtics pulled off an impressive 95-78 win over the surging Miami Heat on Thursday, but it didn't come without concern. Superstar guard Jaylen Brown left in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and has already been ruled out for Saturday's contest against Dallas Mavericks.

Celtics head coach Ime Udoka offered a further update on Brown and revealed that he could be out for a couple of weeks. Via Keith Smith:

It's also important to note that Brown has dealt with hamstring problems in the past, which is why Boston is being cautious here. This is definitely something that will worry Celtics fans, though. After all, the former Cal standout missed a lot of time last season due to injury.

The C's aren't off to a great start, going 4-5. Brown has been in his bag, however, averaging a team-best 25.6 points, 6.1 boards, and 2.5 assists on 40% shooting from downtown. Before exiting vs. Miami, the 25-year-old dropped 17 points. the long-term health of Brown is ultimately the most important thing to the Celtics. Without the All-Star at full strength alongside Jayson Tatum, their aspirations this season will be looking very grim.

It's still early as well. While they're under .500, there is an entire campaign ahead. Better safe than sorry. For the time being, Smart and Dennis Schroder will need to step up heavily and fill the void left by Brown.
