The Boston Celtics suffered yet another disappointing loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets, trailing by as much as 30 points in a 115-104 beatdown. They have now lost seven of their last 10 games and are 1-5 since the All-Star break.
A lot of fans have suggested a lineup change for Boston, as the current starting five of Kyrie Irving, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, and Marcus Smart doesn't seem to be clicking on the floor. However, head coach Brad Stevens believes that changing the line-up won't make any difference.
Brad Stevens said a lineup change can be the fix if it’s the root of the issues. Said he’s not sure that’s at the root of the C’s issues. Didn’t say he would stick with the same lineups though.

He added that if he wanted to, he could've done it.

The Celtics are talented enough to be a championship contender, but for some reason, they can't seem to get things together. Last season, they were two minutes away from reaching the NBA Finals before losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and many thought that the return of Irving and Gordon Hayward would make them a better team.

But the Celtics seem to be playing better without those two, particularly Irving. In fact, they are 5-0 this season without him. Still, Boston believes that the All-Star guard is an integral part of their success, and rightfully so because Irving is one of the best players in the league.
Stevens is right: the team just has to figure out a way to play better. The postseason is already a guarantee, and what happens after they make it is entirely up to them.
They could become champions, and they could also get swept in the first round.
It is entirely their choice.
