Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge could not help but take a shot at his team's fierce rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, in a recent meeting with the press.

Ainge took the opportunity to make a joke that he was resigning from his post, which is obviously an insinuation to Magic Johnson's recent decision to step down as the president of basketball operations for the Lakers.

That's classic Danny Ainge right there, and we're pretty sure the Celtics faithful are loving him for this right now. What makes this troll move even more appealing is the fact that it is at the expense of the Lakers.

Ainge probably thought it was a good idea to take a shot at Magic's rather unorthodox (and unprofessional) way of tendering his resignation. It may not exactly be the classiest of moves in the eyes of Lakers supporters who are currently still in mourning/at a complete loss, but in truth, Ainge could not care less.

It's all business for Ainge and his team, though, with the Celtics now preparing for their first-round matchup against the Indiana Pacers. The C's will have homecourt advantage in the series, which might prove to be a deciding factor in what should be a tight encounter through and through.

Game 1 in Boston is scheduled for Sunday, and the Celtics nation will be hoping that their team are able to draw first blood in this highly-anticipated matchup.
