Hayward, now 29 years of age, was previously under contract with Nike. However, the popular sports apparel manufacturer failed to re-up on their deal, which opened the door for Anta.

With a new shoe deal in his pocket, Hayward will be looking to lead the Celtics into playoff contention in the coming season. As most hoops fans know, the former Butler Bulldog suffered one of the worst injuries in NBA history on opening night of the 2017-18 campaign, but he's since recovered.

Last season, Hayward made 72 appearances with the C's during their 2018-19 season, racking up averages of 11.5 points on 46.6 percent shooting from the field (33.3 percent from beyond the arc), 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and just under one steal (0.9) in 25.9 minutes per outing.
