The Boston Celtics, like other NBA teams, are in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak. The Celtics are seeking roster help from an unlikely place. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, NBA veteran and seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson is in agreement with the Celtics on a 10-day deal.

Joe Johnson is making his return to the NBA with the Celtics after a brief stint in Ice Cube's Big3 basketball league. Johnson, who was originally drafted by Boston, will be back with the first franchise that gave him a chance.
Article Continues BelowThe newest member of the Celtics is expected to take the court against the Cavaliers, per Wojnarowski. Boston, which has six players currently in the health and safety protocols, could use an extra player in the rotation.
Johnson took Ice Cube's Big3 league by storm, leading the league in scoring while earning MVP honors as a rookie in 2019. Before that, the NBA veteran averaged 20-plus points per game in five straight seasons for the Atlanta Hawks from 2005-2009, making the All-Star team in four of those campaigns. He became known for his ability to score in isolation situations.
‘Iso Joe' will now look to provide some punch for the Celtics' bench, which has averaged the fourth-fewest points per game this season. it's not a huge move by Boston, but it's one that can certainly help them get through a time when they are especially shorthanded.
