The Boston Celtics have been struggling of late, as they just snapped a season-worst three-game losing skid with a blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, but in spite of their recent issues, they remain the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference at 26-11.

While that is certainly a heck of an achievement for a team that saw its roster get gutted this past summer with the losses of Kyrie Irving, Al Horford, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes, and Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown has no interest in finishing second in the East. He wants to be No. 1:

“Never in my life have I wanted to be No. 2,” said Brown when asked about his feelings on being the second seed in the conference, via the team.

Brown added that he wants the Celtics to make a run at the Milwaukee Bucks for the top spot in the East.
