Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown will return to action against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday after suffering a bruised right hand.

The Celtics have turned things around in a big way by winning eight of their last ten games, but a slow start to the season still keeps them firmly in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately for Brown, he has endured several injuries this season as well as missing games due to illness. Brown suffered a tailbone injured just a short time ago that kept him out for an extended period of time. When he has been on the court he has made a decent impact, averaging 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds, but he can't seem to stay on the court long enough to get in a groove.

The Celtics were the best team in the Eastern Conference last season, but some unfortunate injuries to point guard Kyrie Irving and small forward Gordon Hayward cut their season short. Boston made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, but small forward Jayson Tatum, Brown, and the rest of the C's were only able to do so much against LeBron James and company.

Coming into this season the Celtics were the presumed favorite to make it to the Finals on the Eastern Conference side. The way they have played lately surely proves they can pending all players are healthy in time for playoffs. Brown will be a big part of the team's success if he remains healthy and gets some extended time on the court.
