Boston Celtics starting small forward Jaylen Brown won't play Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the high-flyer thinks he might be able to play Saturday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jaylen Brown is dealing with a lower right back injury.
“I should be looking to get back on the court soon,” Jaylen Brown said Friday. “I think [tomorrow] it's a possibility. We'll see. I'll have a better understanding tomorrow. I've been having some back spasms along with the injury. It's loosened up the last couple of days so I'm excited to get back onto the floor.”

Brown has played in 19 games this season for the Celtics and is averaging 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists. The 22-year-old is shooting 39.8 percent from the field, 25.3 percent from beyond the arc and 62.2 percent from the free-throw line.
The Celtics are 12-10 on the season, sixth place in the Eastern Conference. Boston was picked by many to be the best team in the East this year, but so far, it has been a struggle for the Celtics, who are averaging only 107.1 points per game. That’s 23rd in the NBA.
Whenever Brown returns to the lineup, it will be a much-needed offensive boost for the Celtics.
