Jayson Tatum cooled off in the Boston Celtics' last game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but it looks like he's back to his gunslinging ways against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. The two-time All-Star was red-hot early on TD Garden, torching the visitors for 23 points in the first half.
The Celtics superstar kept his foot on the gas even as time expired in the second quarter. Golden State took notice and even double-teamed Tatum in the final possession of the half. With 2.4 ticks before halftime, Tatum received an inbound pass from Marcus Smart and was blanketed by Andrew Wiggins and Kent Bazemore.
Those two are excellent wing defenders on their own, and they should have no problem clamping down Tatum, right? That was not the case, as the 23-year-old Celtics scorer used a gorgeous fadeaway jumper to school the two and beat the buzzer.

Here's the play, which cut the Warriors' lead at halftime.

Following a string of 20-point plus games, including a career-best of 52 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves last week, Jayson Tatum was limited to just 14 points against the Lakers. It was clear that the Celtics swingman wanted to bounce back right away and was on the attack from the opening tip versus the Dubs.
