Good news out of Boston Celtics camp, as sensational rookie talent Jayson Tatum has been given the (mostly) green light in regards to his health. There was a scare that he might have suffered a concussion in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Jay King reported the news on the mean streets of Twitter:
Jayson Tatum was evaluated by doctors today. Felt great after the game. Felt great today. “Nothing there to be concerned about,” per Stevens. But he will continue to get evaluated for concussion before Game 7.

Brad Stevens clearly left a little wiggle room in case things turn south for the youngster, but the “nothing to worry about” pretty much confirms Jayson Tatum will be a go for Game 7.

Tatum was involved in a collision with power forward Kevin Love early in the game. The rookie managed to make his return and play relatively fine. He finished with 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. Needless to say, it was a far cry from the 24-point outing he had in Game 5.
Obviously, with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line and LeBron James playing for his legacy, the Celtics are certainly hoping Jayson Tatum is good to go when Game 7 hits. Otherwise, this injury-riddled team will have to voyage into the elimination-game with yet another incredibly important player wearing a suit on the sideline.
That would be, you know, less than ideal.
