Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum worked out with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant last summer.

Bryant was Tatum's favorite player growing up. The second-year swingman says it “was a dream come true” to train with the Black Mamba while answering questions in a AMA on Reddit:

What was it like to train with Kobe over the off season?

J: It was a dream come true just to spend time with and learn from my all time favorite player.

Was it surreal at first being with him and did it take time to get acclimated? Or did you hop right into it?

J: I had met with him a couple times before, but just being on the court with him I was like wow, I’m actually working out with my favorite player.

Before the 2018-19 season started, Jayson Tatum said Kobe Bryant helped him with his post game.

Tatum is averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this season for the Celtics. The Missouri native is shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 85.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Tatum has unlimited range and a lethal hesi pull-up jumper.

We'll see if the youngster can show off his improved post up game in the playoffs for the Celtics.
