In a scathing tweet, former Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins voiced his disdain for his old team’s recent performances.

The criticism was in response to the Celtics disappointing outing against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday evening, losing 121-119. Boston battled well, but they were unable to keep up with Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton and his 27-point and 13-rebound showing. Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker combined for 47 points, but Jayson Tatum only managed 18.

However, Kendrick Perkins’ biggest concern was the squad’s lackluster defensive effort and communication, including a significant rebounding deficit. The Bucks were able to pull down 46 boards to Boston’s 38.

This was the Celtics fifth loss in their last six games. As the trade deadline rapidly approaches, these bad results could indicate a shakeup for the Boston roster.

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon is said to be one of GM Danny Ainge’s primary targets on the trade market as the window closes. Gordon has expressed his frustration with the Orlando front office and has made it clear that he would prefer to continue his career elsewhere.

Another player on Ainge’s radar is Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes. While he has not spoken about wanting to leave Sacramento, his two way ability is something that the Celtics are desperate for in the front court.

Boston currently sits on the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference standings, just half a game above the surging Indiana Pacers. If the Celtics are going to be able to right the ship and make a convincing playoff run, things might need to change. If they don’t, Perk will continue letting his Twitter following know how unhappy he is with his former employers.
