Following the Boston Celtics' Christmas Day victory over the Toronto Raptors, veteran point guard Kyle Lowry opened up about what type of impression Boston swingman Jaylen Brown has left on him.
According to Lowry, Brown's confidence level has been at an all-time high:
“He's playing with extreme confidence,” Lowry said, via Celtics insider Taylor Snow. “He played with some bounce [today]. I think his overall game was just flowing. When he's making his 3, it makes him really difficult to guard.”

It was Boston who came away with the win on Wednesday, 118-102, with Brown leading the way for his side. The fourth-year swingman came up big for the C's, putting up a game-high 30 points (10-of-13 from the field, 5-of-6 from the line), five 3-pointers, six rebounds, and four assists in what was easily one of his best performances of the campaign thus far.
For his part, Lowry was pretty quiet in this one, with Boston successfully holding back the 33-year-old from another explosion. The five-time All-Star finished the evening with 14 points on a miserable 4-of-13 from the field, along with three 3-pointers, four rebounds, eight assists, two steals, a block, and five turnovers in 37 minutes of action.
This was an important victory for Boston, as it marked a fourth consecutive victory and an impressive road win. The Celtics are now 21-7 and are holding the second spot in the Eastern Conference, bettered only by the league-best Milwaukee Bucks, who are now at 27-5.
