Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is known for his spectacular dribble moves and a smooth jumper. He's also popular for speaking his mind out.

With the Celtics losing Wednesday night to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 111-103, Irving had some critiques of his teammates' play.

One problem may be the amount of depth head coach Brad Stevens has on the roster. Even with injuries to Al Horford and Gordon Hayward earlier this week, the Celtics still had quality players like Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart to step in and play big minutes.

Kyrie Irving even went on record to say that he preferred to have Morris and Smart in the starting lineup.

Perhaps Irving is upset with Gordon Hayward's recent play. Hayward only had 10 points with five rebounds and four assists but he also shot 3-of-8 from the field. He also had a negative-13 for a plus-minus rating, second worst to backup point guard Terry Rozier's negative-16.

The Celtics have almost too much talent. This could make it difficult to create that cohesiveness Irving desires. Thankfully for the Celtics and “Uncle Drew,” the season is not even a third of the way through. Stevens has plenty of time to figure out what lineup works best with his superstar point guard.

Kyrie Irving through 27 games is scoring 22.7 points, grabbing 4.8 rebounds, and dishing out 6.3 assists per game. He's shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from three going into the game against the Suns.

The Celtics are 18-12 on the season and fifth in the NBA's Eastern Conference. They play next at home this upcoming Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
