Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving feels like he can do anything he wants on a basketball court, yet he's still able to find balance while making his teammates even better.
Irving is currently averaging 22.9 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game, and he's certainly among the best in the NBA when it comes to his playmaking ability.
However, that hasn't been enough to help the Celtics snap a recent string of less-than-ideal performances, with Boston now riding a three-game losing streak after Friday night's 120-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
And that has Kyrie Irving questioning not only himself but also the mindset surrounding his team right now.
Here's what Irving had to say regarding some of the recent play on the court for the Celtics and how it fits within his overall game, courtesy of Jay King of The Athletic:
Article Continues BelowKyrie brought up the Celtics’ isolations, fadeaways: “I get caught up in that as well.” Said it’s a “balance” for him: “I literally can do anything I want out there at any time I want. But at the same time it’s what can I do for my teammates to be more successful?”
Kyrie Irving will continue to be the driving force for the Celtics, and everyone involved will need to keep refining their offensive roles on a nightly basis if this team wants to have a shot at an NBA title.
The Celtics are far from being in bad shape at 18-13 this season, and again, this is a Boston team that put together eight-straight wins before this recent set of defeats.
Next up for Irving and company is a Sunday clash with the Charlotte Hornets.
