The Boston Celtics won Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but not after the Miami Heat threatened them with a spirited comeback late in the final minutes of the contest. However, by the looks of it, the Beantown team should have never been put in such dangerous position.
According to the NBA's Last 2 Minute report for the game, the officials missed two calls on the Heat that would have favored the Celtics. The first one was a supposed traveling call on Kyle Lowry with 1:07 left to play, while the other was a defensive 3-second violation on Jimmy Butler with 23 seconds remaining that would have given Boston a free throw and the possession, per Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com.
Two officiating miscues last night, per NBA Last Two Minute Report: Kyle Lowry should have been called for traveling w/1:07 left, and Jimmy Butler should have been called for defensive 3-seconds (Celtic would have gotten a free throw and retained possession) w/23 seconds to go.

The reaction and backlash on these missed calls would have been unimaginable had the Heat been able to come back and win. Jimmy Butler had the chance to win it for Miami in the closing seconds after launching a 3-pointer while they were down by two, 98-96.
As everyone knows, Butler missed the shot and the Celtics held on. However, Boston fans would have already lost their minds right now had they lost only to find out a day later that they shouldn't have been in such kind of predicament.
Boston and their fans can now focus on the NBA Finals where they will face the Golden State Warriors. However, a lot of Celtics faithful are surely hoping the officiating will be better this time around.
