Boston Celtics swingman Semi Ojeleye typically does not get a ton of opportunities.

Ojeleye entered Wednesday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers averaging just over 14 minutes per game, and he has more of a reputation as a defensive grinder than a stopper. But given the Celtics were without both Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward, Ojeleye figured to see an increase in playing time.

The former Southern Methodist star seized the opportunity, going 5-of-6 from the field — including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc — and scoring 15 points in just 13 minutes.

But even when things are going for good for the Celtics, there is always the possibility for another player to suffer an injury. Such was the case on Wednesday, as Ojeleye left the game after taking a knee to the groin area.

Luckily though, Ojeleye was able to return.

The injury carousel continues for the Celtics, who cannot seem to stay healthy.

Walker was on a minutes restriction against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night, but he did not even travel to Cleveland with the rest of the Celtics due to more knee soreness. Brown (hamstring) and Hayward (knee) both went down against the Nets.

To add insult to injury, the Celtics also blew a late lead against Brooklyn.

Semi Ojeleye might not be a “key” player like Walker, Brown or Hayward, but he has intrinsic value on this roster nonetheless. Not to mention, he was in the midst of the best game of his career.

The Celtics are practically hemorrhaging injured players, at this point.
