It didn't seem so subtle when Boston Celtics players arrived to Game 6 against the Washington Wizards largely wearing all black.

This act dates back to January when it was the Wizards dawning all black before a clash against the Celtics following an earlier game that got physical. The suggestion that you dress like you're going to a funeral rubbed the Celtics the wrong way with Isaiah Thomas calling it cute and then adding “it's not like it's a Game 7.”

Now we have that, something the Celtics didn't want, and many believe their decision to wear all black before Game 6 was in reference to the Wizards' move months ago.

Thomas says no to this.

There may be some truth to this but it's hard to convince everyone else that there wasn't something more behind it.

It was clearly on John Wall's mind as he referenced this right after the game ended in his postgame interview.

Whatever the truth may be, the Celtics and Wizards have surely brewed up one of the most intense rivalries in the league right now. It will be very interesting to see if any side decides to wear black before Monday's Game 7.
