Wednesday night is bound to be a time of many answers for several teams in the Eastern Conference.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers could end up resting some players at the back end of a back-to-back, the Boston Celtics have problems of their own with an injury to their best all-around defender Jae Crowder and the expectation for Avery Bradley to suit up after sitting out the last two games with an illness.

The game can have major implications, able to separate the No. 1 seed and No. 2 seed by one whole game, a vast lead considering there will only be four more games to make up the difference after the game has come to a close.

The Cavs could rest players as they have routinely done so on second nights of back-to-backs down the stretch this season. Cleveland is 1-9 on the road on the tail end of back-to-backs this season.

Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is not sweating the situation and will go up against anyone who's game to play.

“I mean, at this point, I don't care who plays,” Thomas told ESPN's Chris Forsberg. “If they don't play, that'll be good. If they do, we'll be there at 8 o'clock to play them. I'm fine with either way they go. You can't control that decision but, if they do play, it would definitely be a really good game and, if they don't, we've just got to figure out how to get a win anyway.”

“It's just another game. I think we've got to treat it like that. I mean being No. 1 in the standings, you don't feel different. I don't at least. I'm treating it like another game.”

The 5-foot-9 dynamo has been known to obsessively check the standings, but maybe it only matters if his team is below the Washington Wizards, who trail close in a virtual tie for the third seed.

“This game is big for us,” said Bradley, who's expected to give it a go tonight. “We understand that and we know that it can be a good game for us going into the playoffs. It's going to be a playoff atmosphere. We're playing against a team that's obviously going to be a contender. It's our job to go out there and make sure we're setting our mark now, showing them how we are going to play, so if we do meet up in the playoffs, they know what to expect.”
