Despite a few lapses in his game and having struggled the last two against the Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas isn't feeling the least bit of jitters prior to a crucial Game 7 tonight.

“Man, I don’t believe in pressure,” Thomas told ESPN's Chris Forsberg. “I work too hard to be scared of any type of pressure.”

Having shot a feeble 35 percent from the floor in his last two outings, the 5-foot-9 All-Star knows he will have to come out big when the lights are brightest in order to seek a hard-fought series against the reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I think Isaiah said it last game: This is where legends are made,” said his backcourt mate Avery Bradley. “There’s not a better opportunity, and it's a blessing to be in a situation like this to play in Game 7. These are situations you pray to be in at the beginning of the year, and we’re right there, so we’ll see what we can do.”

Thomas has been eager to show his mettle in every way possible, having gone through the entire postseason mentally absent from the game after his sister's unexpected death a day prior to the start of the playoffs.

But he's remained level-headed and reminiscent of the past and present, putting it all in perspective and envisioning just how big the moment is and the opportunities that await if his team goes through this Monday.

“I definitely, as a little boy, dreamed of being in a Game 7 — or winning a Game 7,” he said. “Hopefully, we can do that. It would be so good for this city and so good for this team to win [Monday] night.”
