Last season, the Boston Celtics made a lot of noise in the Eastern Conference by finishing with a winning record and making it to the playoffs. They started the year without an established go-to-guy but were able to produce an all-star in point guard Isaiah Thomas.

This offseason, the team was able to sign their prized free agent of the summer as Al Horford decided to bring his talents to Bean Town. The Florida product's addition gives the Celtics a reliable inside presence and opens up some space for the team's perimeter players. He also brings a winning attitude to the young squad as he has made it to the playoffs in each year since being drafted in 2007.

But if you ask Thomas, the team still has a weakness he feels their management needs to address. During an interview with Chris Forsberg of ESPN, the 5-foot-9 guard discussed what he thinks the C's biggest issue is, coming into this year's campaign.

What's the biggest issue facing the Celtics this season?

Thomas: “Shooting. That’s probably the weakness I see. …

What trade would make the most sense for the Celtics?

Thomas: “Someone who can put the ball in the basket. A knockdown shooter would be what we need. I’m not saying anything against the guys that are on this team right now, because we have a talented group, but I think that is the most important thing we need. We need spacing, because we got a lot of guys that can create and attack the basket, but we definitely need spacing.”

The 60th overall-pick of the 2011 draft's concern can be backed up by statistics as the team was in the bottom third of the league's true shooting and effective field goal percentages last season. They also ranked 28th in three-point percentage.

There are some knockdown shooters Danny Ainge and company can target as possible reinforcements for the team, but as it stands, it appears that they want to see the effect Horford has on the team first before making any moves. Given his style of play, he'll be able to produce easier looks for his teammates outside the paint.
