With all the speculations on where Jamal Crawford would end up should he and the Atlanta Hawks agree to a buyout, teams are emerging as the reported favorites to land his services. The New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, and Cleveland Cavaliers have all been in the mix as potential suitors for him, but now a new team is emerging as another possible destination for the veteran guard.
According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the former three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner could consider joining the Boston Celtics once an agreement is reached between him and the Hawks.

As the C’s look for deals that will allow them to ship Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, or Marcus Smart to create cap space for the signing of Gordon Hayward, Crawford’s possible addition should bring more firepower to Boston's bench, while giving them some versatility with his ability to play both guard spots.
Despite already being 37 years old, Crawford is continuing to play at a very high level, and just this past season, averaged 12.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.3 minutes off the bench for the L.A. Clippers. The Celtics may have some competition for his services, but with their improved lineup, a chance to win a title, and the appeal of playing for the storied franchise could be more than enough reason for him to ultimately choose Beantown.
