The former No. 18 pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, Shane Larkin, is coming back to the NBA after spending an entire season in the Euroleague.

According to David Pick, the point guard agreed on a deal with the Boston Celtics. While information about the financial aspect of the deal has not been released, Larkin probably signed a minimum deal. With this move, the C's add to their guard rotation which suffered blows due to the Gordon Hayward signing.

Boston had to trade away guard Avery Bradley and released James Young and Demetrius Jackson. Due to this, their guard rotation is currently consisting of Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier. However, head coach Brad Stevens stressed during the off-season that he plans to play position-less basketball. Due to this, it is expected that Hayward, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will see minutes at the guard positions as well potentially.

Larkin last played for Saski Baskonia in Spain. Before that, he played for the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. His best season was in Brooklyn, where he averaged 7.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game.

While the financial details of the Celtics deal are not known, Larkin reportedly left $6.3 million on the table to go to the U.S.
