Draymond Green and Paul George were among the sea of NBA players attending the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, and it wasn't long before a Showtime microphone found a way to him prior to the bout.

Green was soon asked about his thoughts on the Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade, one to which he opted to answer with the diplomatic answer.

“When I look at the situation, I think it's a great team for both moves,” Green said. “With Kyrie going to a team that doesn't have to rebuild. He's played in The Finals three straight years, you wanna continue to taste that.”

“Him going to a team that doesn't have to rebuild, that can contend; and then the Cavs get I.T. and also getting a top-five pick, but also the underrated part of that trade is Jae Crowder, who also is on a team-friendly deal and is one of the best perimeter defenders our league has seen and can knock some shots down.”

Green gave Crowder his condolences for the loss of his mother, wishing him and his family well after the tragedy.

The Golden State Warriors forward might have gotten a little tongue-tied saying “it's a great team for both moves,” but it's likely either the excitement for the fight or the anticipation for playing Irving in a different jersey.
