Brooklyn Nets veteran small forward Garrett Temple will miss his third consecutive game on Saturday when the Nets host the Milwaukee Bucks.

Temple is dealing with knee pain. The Nets are tentatively expecting Temple back in the lineup on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post:

The Nets are 18-22 on the season. They are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Temple has appeared in 36 games this season for the Nets. He's averaging 10.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 36.8 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from beyond the arc and 75.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving recruited Temple to Brooklyn this past offseason. Irving put together a list of free agents he wanted to play with and Temple was on the list. The swingman signed a one-year, $4.67 million contract with Brooklyn after speaking to Irving.

Temple split time last season with the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers. He played in 75 games and averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 42.2 percent from the floor, 34.1 percent from the 3-point line and 74.8 percent from the charity stripe.

Temple is a sound three-point shooter, wing defender and locker room guy. Irving made the right call by recruiting Temple to the Nets.
