There was never any doubt that the Big 3 would stick together and chase an NBA title with the Brooklyn Nets, but it's good to see the organization making sure they lock down their superstars.
Following Kevin Durant's massive four-year, $198 extension last week, the Nets are now looking to extend Kyrie Irving and James Harden before training camp begins, via ESPN's Malika Andrews:
Nets GM Sean Marks said that the Nets are talking to Kyrie Irving and James Harden about contract extensions.
Marks said he is “confident” by the time training camp starts, Brooklyn’s ‘Big 3’ will be under contract with the Nets long-term. Durant already signed his extension.

Irving's current deal wouldn't see him became an UFA until 2023, but the Nets want to make sure he's around even past that. Harden meanwhile would also become an unrestricted free agent the same summer as Kyrie.

After a disappointing second-round exit to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA playoffs, the Nets will be aiming to stay as healthy as possible and finally win a championship next season. Injuries were Brooklyn's kryptonite, with all three members of their superstar trio spending time on the shelf with injury problems.
The Nets also added another piece to the fold in free agency, signing veteran guard Patty Mills while re-signing Blake Griffin. The future successes of this franchise however comes down to the Big 3 and having them all under contract for the long run.
It will be interesting to see how much money Irving and Harden receive from the Nets.
