New Brooklyn Nets forward Jared Dudley has dropped 10 pounds since the start of the offseason, getting down to 245 and planning to lose another 10 before training camp gets started, according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post.

New York Knicks forward Enes Kanter was encouraged by the news, which only serves as a reminder of the trolling job he did on Dudley last season.

The two had a back-and forth on Twitter last season after one of Dudley's well-known offseason rants, as the Turkish international told him something he still remembers to this day.

“Get on the treadmill before you talk bro. You got the retirement body,” Kanter said last offseason, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.

The tweet might have struck a chord with Dudley, who was roughly 30 pounds overweight for his position as 6-foot-7 small forward.

The San Diego native is listed at 240 pounds on his ESPN bio, which is still plenty heavy for a wing player, even if he only plays as a spot-up shooter in today's game.

Kanter knows a thing or two about shedding weight for camp, as he admitted that Turkish food can be often fattening, adding lots of carbohydrates into his diet — which he often cuts out as training camp nears.

Whether this was said jokingly or in the spirit of mutual encouragement, Kanter's words had the effect desired, as Dudley will be on a mission to lose a few more pounds before his name is called to the scale.
