A fan who is about to undergo Achilles reconstruction surgery asked how much pain Kevin Durant had to endure when he had his operation. The Brooklyn Nets star took the time and effort to share his experience with the worried fan.

On Twitter, Durant assured the fan that he'll be alright, noting that he'll feel “just a lil pinch of pain.”

To recall, the two-time champion tore his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. He initially suffered a right calf strain in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets. He suited up in Game 5 of the NBA Finals but then, just two minutes into the second quarter, KD tore his Achilles and left the game and the series for good.

Come summer of 2019, the 10-time All-Star went to the Nets in a sign-and-trade deal that involved D’Angelo Russell, Shabazz Napier and Treveon Graham. Given Brooklyn's strong core of Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris, the team was quickly deemed as an up-and-coming team.

A healthy Durant is easily a top-three player in the league. With KD in the fold, the Nets basically jumpstarted their process from a mid-tier to a top tier squad.

Rumors has it that the Nets haven't completely ruled Kevin Durant out for the season. However, it remains to be seen if KD will opt to play considering that Kyrie Irving has already been officially sidelined for the rest of the campaign due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery.
