Kevin Durant is certainly grateful for the opportunity to return to the playing court following that harrowing injury he suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals. However, he's made it clear that he doesn't need the praise or extra motivation to keep proving that he is still on top of his game after that major setback. In his first 15 games in Brooklyn, the 32-year-old supreme scorer is averaging 30.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in roughly 36 minutes per game for the Nets.
Even more impressive, is that Durant is shooting even better this season for Brooklyn compared to his MVP-year back in 2014. The 10-time All-Star is knocking down a blistering 51.7 percent clip from the floor and making 44.4 percent of his 3-point attempts. To this day, the game still comes easy for KD, considering he has scored 20 or more points in 15 straight games.
With Durant looking like hasn't lost a single step, the Nets have lived up to their billing as contenders so far with a 12-8 slate in the East.
