Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving put up the second 60-point performance in the NBA in as many nights, matching Karl-Anthony Towns' 60-point outburst with his own against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. Irving put up very similar shooting stats, going 20-of-31 from the field, 8-of-12 from 3-point range and 12-of-13 from the foul line.

Late after the game, Nets star teammate Kevin Durant took to Twitter with a message for the fans:

Irving put on a masterclass against the hapless Magic in a 150-108 destruction. Orlando had no answers for the point guard's wizardry, with Kyrie going for a ridiculous 41 points in the first half alone:

This performance set a new Nets franchise record for scoring, which was previously held by Deron Williams and his 57 points back in 2012. This also set a new career-high mark for Kyrie.

Irving and the Nets are on quite the heater right now. They have won four games in a row to get to 36-33 on the season, and Irving also just put up 50 points against the Charlotte Hornets last week. Furthermore, Kevin Durant had a 53-point night against the New York Knicks over the weekend.

While it has been a tumultuous season for Brooklyn, Irving and Durant are showing just how dangerous they can be when they have it rolling. Irving's part-time status still looms over the Nets, as does Ben Simmons' injury status, but this team shouldn't be counted out.

Unfortunately for Brooklyn, the next three games are at home, so Irving can't play. In fact, there are only four more road games the rest of the regular season.
