Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has had enough of the culture that constantly spawns player comparisons and so-called experts' hot takes.
As such, the outspoken superstar took to Twitter in airing his resentment over these conversation points.
LOL, when will all these comparisons of people and “expert hot takes” cease to exist? Like bruh, just appreciate the persons greatness and enjoy what you’re experiencing. It’s like some people can’t enjoy life without comparing the moment to something or someone else.
Irving is no stranger to these topics as he's also found himself at the center of such talks throughout the years. His name being thrown into these discussions probably saw its peak during his days with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was unavoidable as Irving was the Cavs' second-best best player during their consecutive NBA Finals matchups with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. One can even argue that Irving playing alongside LeBron James, one of the most polarizing superstars ever, only made him a bigger target.
The NBA is a star-driven league so player comparisons and bold comments from media personalities are inevitable. Media business aside, they raise awareness by sparking conversations, but there's always the risk of going over the line. Below-the-belt comments should be eliminated. The debates should start and end with basketball, leaving personal matters aside.
The freedom people enjoy on social media comes with its own advantages and flaws. However, Kyrie Irving nailed it in reminding how people should primarily consume the entertainment brought by the NBA.
