The Brooklyn Nets will likely get All-Star guard Kyrie Irving back on Thursday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Mike Mazzeo of Yahoo Sports.

Irving missed Monday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a hamstring injury after playing in four consecutive games, returning from a two-month absence due to a shoulder ailment. The Nets won in Irving's return against the lowly Atlanta Hawks, but they have since lost four consecutive games, including the one against the Sixers without the star point guard.

The backcourt combination of Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie has been a major work in progress, as head coach Kenny Atkinson has tried to push forward its firepower after Dinwiddie played at an All-Star level with Irving sidelined. Irving and Dinwiddie have had their moments individually, but they've failed to mesh and get into a groove together thus far.

The Nets have lost eight of their last 10 games since the flip of the calendar year and 11 of their last 13 since threatening to climb up to the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference.
