Kyrie Irving suffered a scary-looking knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Brooklyn Nets' Saturday game against the Washington Wizards. Fortunately, the Nets revealed on Sunday that the injury to their star point guard was a sprain and not a complete tear.

The 27-year-old star took to Instagram to update fans on his injury.

“I appreciate everyone reaching out!” Irving wrote. “I'll be okay after last night's tweak with my knee. Honestly, what a scare, but I know God and the angels definitely looked out for me on that one! The Marathon Continues though, gotta keep the same focus and determination to get back out there when I'm Healthy! What a week of Challenges, but I trust in the Divine Purpose of life!”

Injuries have already hindered Irving's season and it seems that Saturday's injury will force the Nets star to miss even more time. Irving missed 26-straight games earlier in the season from November to January.

Prior to Saturday's injury, Irving had posted 11 points, four rebounds and four assists on 5-12 shooting in 29 minutes of play. The Nets would fall to the Wizards 113-107 which put the team at 21-27 on the season.

The Nets join the Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies as the only three teams currently in a playoff spot with a losing record. In 28 games without their star point guard, the Nets are 13-15 and have endured a seven-game losing streak as well as a four-game winning streak.

Up next for the Nets, a two-game home stint against the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors before traveling to Toronto to face the Raptors.
