NBA fans are extremely thrilled that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is finally 100 percent healthy and ready to go for the 2020-21 campaign. His teammate Caris LeVert recently shared his excitement upon the opportunity to share the floor with the one-time league MVP.
In a clip shared by SNY (via Yahoo Sports' Jack Baer), LeVert explained why KD's return from his one-year hiatus is great for the league, not just the Nets.
“It was good to see Kevin come back from a tough injury like that. I think that Kevin is right back where he was and I think everybody will see that. I’m excited. I’m excited for him, I’m excited for everybody to get him back, because the game honestly wasn’t the same without him. I know he’s super-excited to get back to playing.”

The NBA missed a lot of superstars to injuries last year, but it was Durant's absence that was felt greatly around the league. The two-time NBA champion ruptured his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals and has been out of commission ever since. Durant even elected to sit out the bubble for the Nets in Walt Disney Florida after the long NBA hiatus and chose to continue rehabbing his injury.
LeVert, meanwhile, already established a good relationship with Durant since he was a fixture in the sidelines for Brooklyn last year. The 26-year-old swingman is primed for a bigger role next season following his remarkable fourth year with the Nets. The 6-foot-6 winger notched career-highs across the board, recording 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.2 steals in 45 games.
Pundits claim the Nets do not need a third superstar to pair with Durant and Kyrie Irving since they already have one in LeVert.
The University of Michigan alum is no stranger to dealing with serious injuries himself but has somehow still gotten better each year with the Nets. Given KD's Hall of Fame-worthy resume, LeVert is positive he will be back to his old self in the upcoming season.
