The Brooklyn Nets continue to roll. They have now won six straight games after taking care of the New York Knicks, 109-99, at home.

The Nets have now won 19 of their last 24 games, which sets a new franchise record.

In a night when the starters struggled to shoot the ball, the Nets' bench came up big against the Knicks, led by undrafted rookie forward Theo Pinson, who had 19 points and eight rebounds. Veteran big man Ed Davis had a monster double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Shabazz Napier had 18 points.

After starting the campaign at 8-18, Brooklyn started to turn their season around. Behind D'Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jarrett Allen, the Nets won seven straight games from December 7 to 19.

Then wins just kept coming.

Russell, Brooklyn's main guy, is averaging 19.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game this season. Dinwiddie, who signed a three-year deal with the team, is putting up 17.2 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game. Jarrett Allen, who is also having a career year with the Nets, has season averages of 11.4 points and 8.8 rebounds nightly.

Brooklyn's combination of young and veteran players have helped them become more stable this season, as they are able to balance energy and composure in most of their games.

The Nets are playing without an All-Star, but they are slowly chasing the Boston Celtics for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Their constant growth as a team should only help them moving forward, especially when they make the playoffs.

Don't be surprised if this team creates some noise in the postseason.
