Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie used some newfound time on his NBA-less Tuesday to weigh in on some Twitter chatter.

ESPN's account posted two options of starting fives consisting of NBA legends past and present and asked followers to pick a side—assuming every player was in their prime. Dinwiddie picked the squad with Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Shaquille O'Neal and cited one specific reason for his choice: The Big Aristotle.

After one user posited that swapping prime Tim Duncan in for the Greek Freak would create possibly the greatest five-man lineup ever, the Nets guard disagreed and shared his own dream starting lineup that swaps Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant in for Giannis and Steph.

“Best starting 5 all time. LBJ, KB, MJ, KD, Shaq,” Dinwiddie responded.

It's not surprising that Spencer Dinwiddie, an L.A.-native, included Shaq and Kobe in his personal best starting five. This past December, Kobe told Dinwiddie he thought he was “playing like an All-Star“— a praise Dinwiddie said meant everything to him.

Dinwiddie also released a signature shoe in honor of Gianna Bryant and changed his number with the Nets to #26 honor the Bryants after their untimely passing in January.

As the NBA enters the early stages of a months-long hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic, fans can expect their social feeds to be more and more consumed by hypothetical NBA history debates such as this one. (By the way, Dinwiddie is right — the answer is Team A).
