The Brooklyn Nets lost their ninth straight game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, which is why it didn't come as a surprise Steve Nash was asked about his job status and whether or not he has received support from the front office.
Nash didn't sound worried about such stuff despite the Nets' freefall, though. In fact, he expressed his belief that the team has grown tighter amid the adversity they are facing.
“It's not come up … we're just going through a tough period so I think we're all if anything tighter. From ownership to front office to coaches, players, everyone's grown tighter,” Nash said, via Dave Early of ClutchPoints.

While it's easy to pin the blame on the coach when a team as talented as the Nets are struggling, Steve Nash is hardly at fault in this one. Sure, there are things he could do better, but injuries and vaccination mandates are out of his control.
The Nets were without their Big 3 when they played the Celtics, with both Kevin Durant and James Harden dealing with injuries and Kyrie Irving still unable to play at home games.
The NBA legend has very little to work with in every game, so it's not really shocking they are struggling to get wins. It is also the reason why Brooklyn isn't hitting the panic button just yet. They know what they are capable of when they are healthy–having been atop the East standings earlier in the season–and that's where they are leaning on as they try to survive this current slump until their superstars return.
