The Boston Celtics are about to take on the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, and point guard Kyrie Irving may join them on the floor.

At the very least, Irving will be in the arena, per the official Twitter account of the Celtics.

Joining Irving will be Marcus Morris. That is a good sign for those hoping that both Irving and Morris suit up and take on the Raptors.

The development is a positive one for the Celtics, particularly in Irving's case. Irving has missed the last three games with a quad injury.

However, the Celtics have won each of those last three games, including in dramatic fashion when Al Horford's jumper beat the Portland Trail Blazers at the buzzer on Sunday.

Irving is arguably the team's most important player, even if the Celtics have won without him. And against the Raptors, it will be much more difficult to edge the second-best team in the Eastern Conference without Irving.

That's why Irving traveling with the team is so important. It points to the possibility that he is made available for the game. The Celtics right now are only one game ahead of the Raptors in the loss column.

There is the possibility that Irving is only traveling with the team, but does not play. That often happens when a team is testing out a player's injury to see if he can return during a road trip and utilize his talents, rather than keeping him at home.

Fans will know soon whether or not Irving is playing. The team hopes to get him back as he would make a huge difference in a very important game.
