After a terrific performance in the first round of the playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics guard did not take too much time to show that he’s going to be a big factor for the Celtics in their Eastern Conference semifinals showdown with the up-and-coming Philadelphia 76ers.
In the first quarter of Monday’s Game 1 of the series, Rozier channeled his inner Uncle Drew, evading and splitting Philadelphia’s defense with a sick behind-the-back dribble before lobbing a pass for teammate Marcus Morris, who provided the cherry on top of that sequence by throwing down a one-handed slam.

Terry Rozier is looking like a star in the making in these playoffs, as he is doing a fine job of handling the starting point guard duties for the Celtics. With Irving out for the remainder of the season following a knee surgery, Rozier has been tasked to be the team’s top court general, and so far, the Celtics have been successful with that kind of setup.
Rozier entered Monday’s game with averages of 17.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 35.9 minutes per game. In Game 7 of the series-clinching win over the Milwaukee Bucks last Saturday at home, Rozier dropped 26 points and added nine assists and six rebounds for the gritty Celtics, who continue to punch hard despite missing some key players to injury.
