Just imagine LaMelo Ball getting a rebound and pushing the ball in transition. He then throws an absolute dime to his one of his teammates streaking down the floor… except one of those guys is actually Michael Jordan. That'd just be insane right? LaMelo answered a question on TikTok on what former NBA player would he want to play with. It didn't seem like he needed even a second to think about it, choosing his literal boss with the Charlotte Hornets.

Michael Jordan is viewed as most people’s greatest players of all time. There is no need to really dive too much into his resume because it should already be known by all basketball fans. The six-time NBA champion and LaMelo Ball would naturally be a great fit on the court. Ball has already shown he is more of a pass-first kind of player. His playstyle would fit in nicely with Jordan's. He was a 10-time scoring champion, who also has a career average of 30.1 points per game. They are would be the perfect duo to help their team be a constant threat to win a title. Of course, it depends on how the rest of the team is built out, but they'd be off to a good start with those two.
MJ has never played with a point guard with LaMelo's potential. As good as John Paxson, BJ Armstrong, or Steve Kerr were, they never had lofty expectations to put a franchise on their back. At 20-years-old, Ball is tasked with making the Hornets a legit contender because he is that good. Even without playing with an elite point guard, Jordan did have the help of another Hall of Famer in Scottie Pippen. Pippen was the best playmaker on the Chicago Bulls' championship teams and was a vital piece in the historic runs. Just imagine if we took Ball back in time to play with those two. Hell, maybe Jordan wouldn’t have retired for those two years!
Even if you took a prime Jordan and place him on this present day Hornets squad, they'd be a contender out in the Eastern Conference. There is no doubt he would be able to dominate any era he would've played in. It would have been a lot of fun to watch him compete alongside the current day Hornets. Of course, this is only a big “what if”, so it's only a cool thing to think about. Hornets fans, you are welcomed to dream though.
