Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love made a lot of headlines recently after he admitted that he is struggling with mental health issues. It truly takes a brave person to disclose that kind of information about himself, and it has drawn a lot of praise from his Cavs teammates and fellow players around the league. Even Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave him credit for it and sent a message to the five-time All-Star during his pre-game press conference on Tuesday.
The two-time champion coach said that he appreciates Love's admittance. Kerr also added, via a video posted by Mark Medina of The Mercury News, that Love needs support from his friends, family, and fans now more than ever.

Love is not the only player who recently admitted to battling a difficult mental health issue, as Toronto Raptors star guard DeMar DeRozan also revealed that he is suffering from depression. He did not believe at first that he will struggle with it, but it proves that despite someone's stature, anyone can be a victim of it, whether it may be a professional basketball player or any regular person in the world.
Kerr's comments only show that even if he has competed with Love and the Cavs over the last three NBA Finals series, there is more to basketball and competing at the highest level. The NBA is also a brotherhood and they all look out for one another, making sure that everyone is healthy and can continue their careers as well.
