The L.A. Clippers through the first few weeks of the season have struggled to find any consistent success dropping 11 of their first 17 games.
A major part of that has been the injury bug to prominent players plaguing them up to this point that includes veteran forward Danilo Gallinari missing the last eight games due to a strained left glute injury. According to Michael Gallagher of Yahoo Sports, head coach Doc Rivers stated that the 29-year-old won't make his return until he is completely healed.
Doc Rivers said the team won't be rushing Danilo Gallinari back because they don't want him to get hurt again, and he "is not coming back until he's right."

Gallinari is still about a week or so from coming back from the injury that has hampered him over the last half month. In his absence, the Clippers have relied upon veteran forward Wesley Johnson to fill the void in the starting lineup.
It had been a struggle out of the gate in his first campaign with the Clippers averaging 12.8 points on career lows with 35.5 percent shooting from the field and 26.0 percent from beyond the arc in nine games played. This includes shooting lower than 40 percent from the field five times.
What has compounded the issue is that L.A. has already lost Patrick Beverley for the season last week due to an arthroscopic lateral meniscus repair and a microfracture procedure that he had undergone on his right knee. That said, the return of Gallinari should help bring more offensive reliability alongside All-Star forward Blake Griffin and help them get out of this early-season slump.
