The Dallas Mavericks will be facing the Milwaukee Bucks, and many are waiting to see if Anthony Davis will be returning to the court. Davis has been dealing with a left calf strain that has forced him to miss over a week of playing time, and it has affected the Mavericks' start to the season. Coming into the season, it was a known fact that Davis would have to lead the team for the time being with Kyrie Irving sidelined.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury early, and the Mavericks are now 3-7. Davis has been working to get back on the court, and it seems as if he's making good progress.

Anthony Davis' injury status vs. Bucks

Davis is listed as questionable against the Bucks, which means there is a chance that he will make his return. The Mavericks could also give Davis some time to actually recover, but it depends on how he feels. It wouldn't be the best thing to put Davis out there if he doesn't feel right, especially this early in the season. At the same time, the way the season has been going for them, they need as much help as they can get.

Without Davis, the Mavericks have had a hard time on defense, and are really struggling on offense, as they're one of the worst in the league on that side of the ball. When Davis returns, and Kyrie Irving gets back sometime later in the year, the real potential of this team will show, but as of now, things are not looking good.

That has now led to people looking at general manager Nico Harrison, and he has not had the best reputation in Dallas this year after trading Luka Doncic last season. It seemed as if things had gone down the drain since the trade, and people are still asking around if his job is safe, according to ESPN's Tim McMahon.

Though the Mavericks were able to get a talent in return, like Davis in the trade, there are also some things that came along with acquiring him. Davis has dealt with injuries throughout his career, and he's already been hurt twice since being with the Mavericks. There's no surprise that people are wondering if Harrison will survive anytime longer with the team.
