After Dallas Mavericks veteran Kyrie Irving's video of him shooting around got fans excited over the summer, the latest video of him shows he's inching closer to making a full recovery. Some speculate Irving could be ahead of schedule, coming back from a torn ACL injury that ended his season.

Irving is seen moving really well at this stage of his recovery process in a video that went viral, per MFFL's X, formerly Twitter.

Irving is nearly six months removed from undergoing surgery to repair his torn left ACL. There's no timetable set for his return to the Mavericks. However, ahead of a highly anticipated regular season, many believe Irving's return could catapult Dallas into the upper echelon of the Western Conference. It'll be the Mavs' first full season since they're trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for All-Star center Anthony Davis.

The Mavericks also had a busy summer, drafting the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft in top prospect Cooper Flagg and signing free agent D'Angelo Russell to fill in as Irving's replacement in the starting lineup. The Mavs also re-signed Irving to a three-year, $119 million extension, alongside P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford.

While getting fans excited, Mavericks veteran Kyrie Irving has plenty to look forward to this upcoming season. For many, Irving's impact, alongside Anthony Davis, is critical for the Mavericks' success, especially in a competitive Western Conference.

Irving updated fans on his recovery progress nearly one month ago and it appears he's only improved since then, when Kyrie went live on his Twitch.

“I was in the gym doing a little bit more as well. I was in the gym, doing a little bit more,” Irving said. “I wanna tell you exactly what I was doing because it's all about incremental growth, but I can share with ya'll some good days it was some good days in the gym. I'm healing up great. This date today, on the 26th; this will be five months post-surgery.”

The Maverick will begin training camp in Vancouver, Canada on September 30.
