On Tuesday, Dallas County commissioners declared April the official Month of Dirk, honoring Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki.

Nowitzki's wife, Jessica, was at the meeting in place of Dirk, who wasn't able to attend:

Although he hasn't announced if this is going to be his last season in the NBA, Nowitzki has been getting standing ovations in every road arena he has played in, similar to how Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has been getting showered with love.

Nowitzki, of course, has spent his entire legendary career with the Mavs. The future Hall of Famer broke Kobe Bryant's record for the most seasons a players has spent with one franchise.

Dirk is 40-years-old. He's averaging 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds this season for Dallas while shooting 35.9 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from beyond the arc. The Mavs are going to miss the playoffs this year for the third consecutive season.

At this point, though, Mavs fans don't really care about the postseason. They want to enjoy watching Nowitzki play in what could be his final season in the league. Dallas has five games left in the regular-season. Dirks' last home game could be on Tuesday, April 9th against the Phoenix Suns.
