Sexual harassment is a serious issue that has become a widespread over the years. Companies in particular are internally affected by these allegations, which can result in major consequences from the incident.
The Dallas Mavericks are the latest organization to fight through these problems, but are the first NBA franchise to begin a full scale investigation on the the incident. Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki took the time to address the allegations, per Eddie Sefko of the Mavs Blog.
“It’s very disappointing. It’s heartbreaking. I’m glad it’s all coming out. I was disgusted when I read the article, obviously, as everybody was. I was shocked … that our franchise, my franchise, that stuff like that was going on”
Nowitzki has been with the Mavericks since the beginning of his career. Undoubtedly, the entire incident with the Mavericks is definitely unfortunate and will likely hang over the organization's foe the next few weeks until the investigation finds the culprits.

Nowitzki isn't the only Maverick that has spoken out against these allegations. Head coach Rick Carlisle recently gave his opinion on the matter.
“I’m grateful we live in a place and time where people have the courage to speak up about things like this. I also have a 13-year-old daughter and I want her to know that it’s both brave and safe to speak out.”
Hopefully, the Mavericks can get to the bottom of their investigation and begin making workplace reforms to strengthen the safety of the organization and its culture soon.
