The dynamic Dallas duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis combined for their first alley-oop of the season with the Mavericks, as the big man delivered a poster dunk for the and-1. With Porzingis playing in only his third game of the season, Mavs fans will no longer have to worry about whether or not the Latvian can still get up high.

When Luka and Porzingis are both on the court for the Mavs, magic is always sure to follow (Via NBA on ESPN):

With Doncic coming hard off a screen set by Porzingis in the second quarter of the Mavs' Sunday game against the Chicago Bulls, a trio of defenders immediately met the point guard looking to prevent him from getting into the lane. Anticipating the trap set by the Bulls, Porzingis made a dive towards the basket, where Doncic spotted him as he was attempting to dance his way out of trouble.

Already in an emergency rotation from the weak side, center Daniel Gifford couldn't get back to the hoop fast enough, as Porzingis was already in the air for the Mavs, ready to deliver a resounding dunk over the defender.

While the Mavs have been cautious with Porzingis, following his surgery to his right knee, the big man's ability to elevate with force could be a sign that the training wheels are ready to come off.

Despite the heroics of both Porzingis and specifically Luka–who already has over 30 points through three quarters–the Mavs continue to trail Chicago by double-digits.

This game has been marked by the individual brilliance of Luka Doncic for the Mavs, but that brilliance hasn't translated to the rest of his team. One elite scorer is doing whatever he wants, but his supporting cast has been shut down while also failing to play defense at the level needed to win a game.

The Mavs have to change this situation, but they are running out of time midway through the fourth quarter against the Bulls.
