Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has set multiple records in his triple-double performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. In the 131-111 win, Doncic finished with 29 points, 15 assists, and 14 rebounds. This marks the Mavs' guard's second consecutive triple-double, after his 31-15-13 performance on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Per NBA.com stats, he's the first player to record such a stat line in back to back games. He's also the youngest one to record consecutive 25-point triple-doubles. Franchise-wise, he's just the second player to record back-to-back 15-assist games joining Jason Kidd.

Needless to say that Doncic — last season's Rookie of the Year — has been performing up to par in his sophomore campaign so far. In Mavs' first six games, the 20-year-old Slovenian is putting up 26.2 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.8 steals. He's also shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep.
Doncic has been the focal point of the offense since his rookie season. Head coach Rick Carlisle quickly saw his potential and his innate understanding of the game. While there are still issues hounding his game (like his turnovers), Doncic is still a sight to behold. Carlisle himself, who holds decades of experience as both player and coach, admitted that he's never seen a player like Doncic. As such, we may be seeing just a preview of what Doncic can become.
